We welcome considered pitches from writers with a practical idea about technology, work, culture, home or creativity. A proposal should help readers understand a subject or make a choice, not simply repeat familiar advice.
What makes a good pitch
Send a short outline of the central idea, who it is for and what a reader will understand or be able to do after reading. Explain what makes the angle distinct, what material you would draw on and why the subject will remain useful beyond a passing moment.
The writing we value
We look for clear structure, specific examples, careful distinctions and a voice that respects the reader. Strong contributions acknowledge trade-offs, avoid unsupported certainty and make unfamiliar ideas understandable without flattening their complexity.
How to send a proposal
Send your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please include a brief introduction to the idea and any relevant links or context in the message itself; a complete draft is not needed for an initial pitch.
